VIP Stage Depart
Access to VIP Start Village. The village is a place where sponsors, ex-pros, the media, local companies and the Vuelta organisation congregate before the race. Walk around and visit stands, some giving away swag, others enticing you to try the local foods of the area. Sometimes the pros of the day will enter the village and wait for the race to start. For selfies and photos, outside of the village, head to the team buses where the riders warm up and then see the sign on of all riders for the day.
VIP Stage Finish
A zone beside the finish area with a terrace and also great views from high above. Watch the action unfold on flat screen tvs before seeing the winner live. With an open bar and complimentary tapas, enjoy the fiesta atmosphere. The place to be to see the climax of the stage.
Upgraded VIP Stage Finish – Final Stage
A great day out to see the finale of the race. An exclusive, corporate style zone directly at the finish line. Enjoy welcome drinks before sampling a gourmet buffet lunch. Plasma tv’s allow you to keep check on the breakaways. With an open bar with wines, cava, shorts, soft drinks and tapas served again in the late afternoon, watch the riders close up at the finish. Be there to see the final podiums. Open all afternoon (7 hours).
Race Car
An amazing opportunity to follow a stage in an official Vuelta race car. Meet in the depart village, where you will meet your driver, an ex-pro cyclist for the day. Be there amongst the race as the riders pass you by. At the end, arrive before the race finishes and enter the VIP stage finish zone to see the end. Wow.
Race Car & Helicopter
If the race car experience was not enough, add on a short flight over the race in a helicopter! Your race car will stop en-route to meet the helicopter pilot and take you for an aerial view. Again be there at the VIP stage finish zone to see the end. Ask us for prices and availability.
We had booked to visit Madrid to watch the final stage of the Vuelta Espana, we come every year as Madrid is a magical city. This year was my partners 50th birthday so for a surprise I decided to book with Cycling Country for the Neptuno VIP experience. There were a choice of experiences to choose from but I decided as it was a birthday treat we would go all out and chose the most comprehensive experience. Maggi was extremely helpful and gave me honest information on what we could expect. The Neptuno experience was amazing. We were situated to the side of the finish line with an unobstructed view of the cyclists as they passed.
Food and drinks were included in the day and were of very high quality and in abundance. Waiters would continually walk round with canape’s or take drink’s order.
I explained to Maggi this was a surprise birthday present and she arranged for us to get a behind the scenes tour of the riders area, podium and interview area’s. This was so much fun and for cycling enthusiasts to have your photos taken on the podium and finish line made the day so much more special.
We really couldn’t have hoped for a better day. Just as the riders crossed the finish line, we got a tap on our shoulder from Dean who works with Cycling Country to tell us to come with them as we might be able to get into the podium area again to watch the finishing ceremony. Very few people were able to get in so we crossed our fingers and followed. They managed to get us in and we couldn’t contain our excitement, cyclist ‘s coming in to be interviewed, have their press photograph’s taken and prepare for the ceremony. We were unbelievably close to the riders and to really make my day Alberto Contador and Juan Antonio Flecha were directly in front of us doing there Eurosport commentary.
We cannot begin to thank Cycling Country, Maggi, Geoff and Dean was making this day so amazing. They went over and above what we were expecting from the day. Thank you so much.
It’s my big birthday in a couple of years and my partner is going to have to work hard to beating this.

I just wanted to write to thank you for the great experience we had yesterday. The viewing area was just brilliant and we had the best time watching all the stars cross the line in the Sierra Mountains. I just never realized how fast they ride! A great day out was had by all our friends. Thanks Maggi.
We were met in the morning and introduced to Franco who was the guys’ guide for the day. We were all made to feel really special and made welcome to join in all the festivities. We left shortly before the race so we managed to see quite a few of the riders and arrived in Valdelinares in good time, (good job we had the pass to get up the mountain as the police were stopping the traffic from going up). The guys arrived a little late as they couldn’t get past the race but they said they were happy to forego a gin and tonic for the fabulous experience in the car!!!! The sad part was the horrendous weather up the mountain but unfortunately none of us can change that. Another bonus was that at the hotel that we had booked for the Saturday evening there where 3 teams staying there (Garmin, IAM and Qhubeka (South African) ) so it was so busy and it was great to watch all the preparation, the cleaning the mechanics the food, that goes on every day for the team.
We’ve got lots of photos and as soon as I can I will send you some. My sister in law stated that all she wanted was a photo with Contador and how lucky was she, she managed to get it!!!!!!! Thanks again for all your organisation it will truly be a memory that lasts for a long time.
